In March the choir continues with a program entitled Mass2 which presents the area premier of Ola Gjeilo’s Sunrise Mass for choir and orchestra, and we’ll share excerpts from Frank Martin’s Mass for Double Choir. The Sacramento Master Singers will round out the program with favorite spirituals like Moses Hogan’s Elijah Rock! and Hall Johnson’s Ain’t Got Time to Die. We’re also excited to recognize the life work of Walter Kerfoot--we offer both of our concerts as a tribute to his work in our community! He directed choirs and orchestras such as: Camellia Orchestra, River City Chorale, American River College, and was the principal bassist for the Sacramento Symphony. Mr. Kerfoot will be in attendance for the March 16th concert at 3:00 pm.
