Scholarship Program

In February of 2003, the Sacramento Master Singers lost a member in a tragic automobile accident. Eighteen-year-old Asya Pleskach was a promising young vocalist who sang in the 2001-2002 season and had close educational and personal ties to many members of our choir. In her memory, the Sacramento Master Singers has established the Asya Pleskach Scholarship for Young Choral Singers.

This scholarship is for young vocalists who are active in their school, church or community choruses. First, second and third place scholarships are awarded in two categories (ages 14 - 16 and 17 - 19) for a total of $1600. An additional commendation award consisting of voice lessons is also given in each category. The next auditions will be in April 2011.
